Yahoo!

I have difficulties using YahooGroups! since 12 April 2006, and reported the problem via online help the same day. As of today, 13 May 2006, the problem hasn't yet been solved. In fact, I haven't heard from Yahoo! since 02 May 2006, even I kept seeking for their support. Yahoo! just ignores me. Better than ever? I don't think so.

I just figured out that the other group members who are also using Gmail do not have problems receiving emails from YahooGroups. I am the only one in the group who can't receive emails. What's the problem exactly? Wrong setup or what?

It shouldn't be wrong setup though. Of the 50 emails sent recently, I at least received 2. After that, I receive none!!! So it should not be the setup problem. What's wrong here?

I am a member of a Yahoo Email Group. The particular group I belong to was designed over 4 yrs ago as a support group for parents of children with Down Syndrome. For years it went fine. But the Owner disappeared. Back in Mid Aug we were attacked by a “ troll”. His yahoo id’s were many, and he was very clever. Setting our calendar to email us hate mail several times a day. We could not just Ignore him as we tried. We tried privately blocking his email. He just came up with a new one.
And continued to send vile abusive language, absolutely obnoxious comments and death wishes into our boxes. And finally he just apologized. Left.. and then came back even more angry than before.

Many of us began asking Yahoo for help. To please assign moderators.. as we could not get a hold of the old list owner. All her emails were closed. Our Group has over 1000 members. Not all are active.. but many check in regularly. Too many to just simply start over with a new group. Which is what Yahoo originally said for us to do. Block him.. start new group.. One of our group members has consistently believed that Yahoo would DO something. Her persisted. They even began Promising. That if we took a poll they would assign the winner of the vote to be a moderator. And yet nothing. NOTHING is done.

I began to wonder if the help was for real and so I did a Google on the email addy.. I was led to your post .. and your post alone. I don’t understand why they would tell us that they are going to do something.. but yet.. they do nothing. I am sure that they could fix the problem in less time than it too me to write this email. Below are just some snippets of Yahoo’s emails to our advocate. First they lost the poll results so we had to re do one. Then they claim the winners ID was missing or invalid. WE have been begging them to fix it since 8-20-2006. It has taken us this long to even get this far.
The incompetence is baffling. The dishonesty.. beyond belief. I am sorry to hear that you have not yet gotten satisfaction from them either.
